Jr. Portfolio Performance Manager

Department: Atl-sales
Location:

SUMMARY

The Junior Portfolio Performance Manager (Jr. PPM) is responsible for the operational execution and revenue performance of a defined portfolio of small to mid-size association media programs. Partnering closely with Association Success Managers and operating under the strategic direction of the Director of Portfolio Performance, the Jr. PPM drives project delivery, monitors revenue pacing, supports advertiser development, and ensures cross-functional alignment on assigned accounts. This role is designed as a development track — the Jr. PPM builds the diagnostic, commercial, and operational skills needed to advance into full PPM-level ownership over time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, metrics-driven, and energized by the challenge of making complex, multi-channel programs run well.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Revenue Pacing & Performance Management

  • Monitor revenue pacing, pipeline development, and conversion activity across assigned portfolio projects, flagging risks and opportunities proactively.
  • Track project-level performance against revenue targets and provide regular pacing updates to the paired ASM and Director of Portfolio Performance.
  • Identify gaps in advertiser development or sales activation and escalate with a recommended course of action.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting inputs and performance data in Salesforce to support portfolio-level visibility.

Cross-Functional Project Coordination

  • Serve as the operational point of coordination across assigned media projects, ensuring alignment between Sales, Content, Marketing, and Production teams.
  • Support project kickoff processes and cross-functional alignment meetings, ensuring all teams are clear on sales strategies, timelines, and project KPIs.
  • Partner with Project Administrators to maintain accurate project setup, sales support documentation, and administrative accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track deliverables and milestone completion, escalating timeline risks before they affect client experience or revenue outcomes.

Advertiser Development & Sales Activation

  • Support the development and execution of advertiser outreach strategies for assigned portfolio accounts, working in coordination with the paired ASM and sales team.
  • Assist in identifying upsell and product expansion opportunities within existing advertiser relationships, contributing to contract growth across the portfolio.
  • Build familiarity with Naylor's full product and solutions portfolio to support accurate, relevant pitch activity at the account level.
  • Track advertiser engagement, conversion rates, and renewal activity, surfacing patterns that inform strategy adjustments.

Client & ASM Partnership

  • Work closely with the paired Association Success Manager to align project plans with client expectations and ensure execution stays on track throughout the program cycle.
  • Contribute to client-facing reporting including revenue performance dashboards, pacing updates, and budget reviews as directed by the ASM.
  • Support client communications and internal decisions when the ASM requires backup or additional capacity.
  • Bring forward observations about client satisfaction, program gaps, or growth opportunities to the ASM and Director of Portfolio Performance.

Operational Execution & Process Standards

  • Ensure assigned projects are set up, managed, and closed in alignment with Naylor's operational standards and sales policy requirements.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene and Salesforce data accuracy across all assigned accounts, including contact records, pipeline entries, and performance notes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts — identifying workflow inefficiencies and contributing to team process development.
  • Engage actively in mentoring and coaching conversations with the Director of Portfolio Performance, building toward full PPM-level portfolio ownership over time.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Revenue pacing and attainment against targets across assigned portfolio (primary)
  • Advertiser growth and retention within existing accounts
  • Project execution quality and on-time delivery
  • Cross-functional alignment and issue escalation timeliness
  • CRM hygiene and Salesforce data accuracy

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in project management, media operations, account coordination, or a client-services environment; B2B or association experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously against defined deadlines and performance targets.
  • Strong analytical mindset with comfort working in data-driven, metrics-tracked environments.
  • Proficient in Salesforce or comparable CRM; strong Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Clear written and verbal communicator, professional and organized in both internal and client-facing contexts.
  • Collaborative by nature — works well across functions and contributes to a team-oriented culture.
  • Travel required approximately 10-15% based on portfolio needs.

KEY SUCCESS ATTRIBUTES

  • Detail-oriented and operationally sharp: nothing falls through the cracks on their projects.
  • Metrics-driven: tracks numbers proactively, not because they're asked to.
  • Proactive escalator: identifies risk early and brings a recommendation alongside the problem.
  • Strong partner to their ASM: keeps them informed, closes loops, and reduces their administrative load.
  • Growth-oriented: coachable, curious, and motivated to develop toward broader portfolio ownership.
  • Process-minded: looks for ways to improve how things work, not just complete the task in front of them.
