Editorial Coordinator

Summary:

Since 1988, WJ Weiser & Associates has provided comprehensive association management services to leading national and international healthcare-related professional associations and academic institutions.

We are seeking an Editorial Coordinator who will be responsible for producing an efficient and accurate production and distribution of quality communications/publications on a timely basis, while upholding the integrity and reputation of Weiser.

Responsibilities:

  1. Production of Publications

    • Prepare publications (print and digital) for distribution

      • Format text

      • Proofread text

      • Edit text

      • Collect and compile information (internally and externally)

    • Create and design meeting signs, badges and tickets

    • After layout, obtain all necessary approvals (internal and external) and edit/proofread publication for final approval

    • Strict adherence to Production Schedule, keeping all involved parties (directors, graphic designer, outside contributors, printer(s), and mail house) on schedule

    • Determine print quantities/specifications and print mailing labels

    • Maintain library archives (additional copies of current publications, envelopes and letterhead)

    • Editorial assistance to other departments on special projects

  2. Production of E-Blasts

    • Prepare e-blasts from start to finish

      • Collect and compile information (internally and externally)

      • Edit and proofread text

      • Format text, images, etc. into e-blast templates

    • After layout/design, obtain all necessary approvals (internal & external) and send out to contact lists pulled from iMIS

    • Organize, maintain and adhere to Production Schedules, recording the dates of every eblast that is sent

  3. Special Projects and Assistance
    • Production of Letterhead
      • Update and order letterhead for all clients once notification is received by the director
    • Assist with special projects as they arise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in English, communications or similar field
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Working knowledge of the following is a plus: Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Constant Contact, Mail Chimp
